The Institutional Data Governance program partners with units across the University of Toronto to promote and support the responsible use of high-quality institutional data, to facilitate informed and insightful use of these data, and to increase their value to the university community.

Institutional Data Governance Program

The Institutional Data Strategy (IDS) ensures that data governance initiatives are aligned with the priorities of the University and deliver organizational value.

The University’s Institutional Data Strategy aims to:

• Advance our data governance vision
• Identify shared priorities across the institution
• Establish common solutions to mature data and analytics practices; and
• Ultimately empower units to harness data to achieve their strategic goals.
